Thank you for your interest in Monitor API.

The first thing you will need to do (if you haven't already done so) is to get an account on http://monitor.gavagai.se/#register

Once you have done that, you are already ready to use the API.

You can use the same credentials for making API calls. Use Basic Auth with your username (= your mail address) and password to authenticate yourself.

In the most recent release, the user no longer needs an individual API key: a dummy key of 123 can be used to fill the slot.

You can test if everything works as expected with this GET request:

https://ethersource.gavagai.se/ethersource/rest/v2/observers?apiKey=123

(using your credentials for authentication)

This should give you a list of your targets (called 'observers' in the API), as well as all the public targets that other people have created.

If you just want to get a list of your own targets, add the parameter 'owner=ME' to your request:

https://ethersource.gavagai.se/ethersource/rest/v2/observers?apiKey=123&owner=ME

Please find the whole documentation here (have a look at ObserversApi, SectorsApi, KpisApi): https://ethersource.gavagai.se/ethersource/v2/apis/index.html

And feel free to use this tutorial to get a few ideas about what you can do with the API: https://gavagai.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUB/pages/19529748/Monitor+API+Tutorial+Part+1+Getting+Started
